What is your approach to therapy?
Therapy is a gentle and collaborative process built on trust, safety, and respect. I integrate trauma‑informed care, ART, art therapy, CBT, positive psychology, and mindfulness‑based practices. Because every person is unique, no single approach fits everyone. Your feedback is always welcome, and we will adjust treatment as needed to support your goals.
What can I expect in the first few sessions?
The first sessions focus on understanding your concerns, history, strengths, and goals. We will develop an initial treatment plan together and discuss what therapy may look like moving forward. You are encouraged to assess whether you feel comfortable working with me and to ask questions at any time. Click here to contact me.
What is it like to work together?
Clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. In our work together, many begin to notice:
-
A greater understanding of their emotions and patterns
-
Tools to regulate anxiety and navigate stress
-
Improved communication in relationships
-
A deeper sense of self-trust and clarity
-
Feeling more grounded, present, and in control
Therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow at your own pace.
How long are therapy sessions and how often do we meet?
Sessions are typically 45–53 minutes, except for ART sessions can take up to 90 minutes, and may be scheduled weekly, bi‑weekly, or monthly depending on your needs. The length of treatment varies; many clients attend therapy for several months, while others may engage in shorter‑ or longer‑term care.
Do you offer in‑person and online therapy?
Yes. I offer in‑person therapy in Westchase, Florida, and secure telehealth sessions for clients located anywhere in Florida. Telehealth sessions are conducted through HIPAA‑compliant platforms and require that you be in a private, stationary location within the state of Florida.
Is telehealth secure?
Yes. Telehealth services are provided through HIPAA‑compliant platforms. While technology is secure, there is always a small risk associated with electronic communication. I encourage clients to use secure messaging options whenever possible and to participate from a private environment.
How do I communicate with you outside of sessions?
Preferred communication is through the Headway client portal for scheduling and non‑urgent administrative messages. Secure email via CMHCLLC@ProtonMail.com is also available. Phone calls and text messages are for scheduling only and should not include sensitive clinical information. I do not provide therapy or crisis support via email, text, or social media.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept many insurance plans. All billing, payments, and insurance matters are handled through Headway. If you are using insurance, any copay, deductible, or coinsurance will be reflected in the amount due. Please contact your insurance provider to confirm coverage. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule appointments to avoid late cancellation fees. A limited number of late cancellations may be waived annually. Repeated no‑shows or missed appointments may result in discharge from the practice. Scheduled session time is reserved exclusively for you.
Do you provide crisis services?

Clinical records are maintained securely in a HIPAA‑compliant electronic health record system. Records are retained in accordance with Florida law for a minimum of seven years. You may request access to your records or authorize release to another provider in writing.
Can I end therapy at any time?
Yes. You have the right to end therapy at any time. You are also welcome to discuss concerns, request changes in treatment, or ask for referrals to other providers if your needs change.
