Accelerated Resolution Therapy
Guided imagery and eye movements to relieve trauma, anxiety, and emotional distress.
Service Description
What Is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)? Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy designed to help individuals resolve trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and other emotional challenges. ART uses a combination of guided eye movements and relaxation techniques to help the brain process distressing experiences in a safe and effective way. Many clients notice meaningful relief in as few as 1–5 sessions, though treatment length varies by individual. Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART does not require clients to describe painful memories in detail. Instead, the therapy focuses on how memories are stored in the brain and helps reduce the emotional and physical distress associated with them—while allowing the facts of the experience to remain intact. Clients often report feeling calmer, lighter, and more emotionally balanced following ART sessions. ART can be offered through in-person therapy or virtual therapy sessions, depending on individual needs, preferences, and clinical appropriateness. Accelerated Resolution Therapy can be highly effective for individuals experiencing: Trauma and post-traumatic stress Anxiety and chronic stress Panic attacks Phobias and fears Grief and loss Depression or low self-esteem Sleep difficulties Chronic pain or pain management Substance use concerns and sugar cravings Relationship challenges and codependency Accelerated Resolution Therapy can be adapted for online therapy or in-person sessions, depending on the individual’s needs, comfort level, and clinical appropriateness, allowing for greater accessibility and flexibility in care. I offer both insurance and private pay options, with weekday evening and Saturday appointments available to accommodate busy schedules.
